INFOhio has several eBook collections with nonfiction and fiction titles. While the eBooks below are organized by grade level, educators can curate the best titles from each collection to meet the needs of the reader and task.
BookFlix
With more than 150 pairs of popular eBooks, Scholastic's BookFlix is INFOhio's most-used resource. Pairs of fiction and nonfiction titles engage readers while building background knowledge and vocabulary. Fiction titles are illustrated videos with text highlighted and read aloud, while nonfiction titles are in a common eBook format.
With Lexile levels and lesson plans included, BookFlix pairs are an effective element in text sets. Consider using these visual texts to motivate readers and provide the necessary scaffolds for accessing more complex text.
To learn more about how to use this resource, be sure to complete the BookFlix class in the Ages 3-5 and Grades K-5 INFOhio Learning Pathway.
