ISearch Mobile is the ISearch we all know and love, with a streamlined look and feel. ISearch Mobile does everything ISearch does, including placing holds. The simple, uncluttered interface of ISearch Mobile allows students of any age to search for the content they need without distraction.
There are three main ways to access ISearch Mobile:
To determine your ISearch Mobile link, you will need to locate your school library's unique ISearch URL and add ?ic=true to the end of the URL.
For example:
https://isearch9.infohio.org/client/acce_aust_afes/?ic=true
For detailed instructions on how to find your school library's unique ISearch URL, please see the Linking to Your ISearch Landing Page lesson found in this course. Once you have located your URL, add ?ic=true to the end and you are ready to use the link as needed to direct your users to the ISearch Mobile online catalog.
ISearch Mobile has an accessibility view that will display a small banner at the top and bottom of your ISearch Mobile screen. The banner contains links to the top of the screen, your search results, and the bottom of the screen.
On a mobile device, you can turn accessibility view on and off by going to the ISearch Mobile menu and selecting Enable (or Disable) Accessibility Mode.
On a standard device, accessibility view is turned on automatically when you use ISearch Mobile.
