Ohio Materials Matter Reviews provides Ohio schools with a searchable interface to discover the best English language arts, science, and math curriculum for their students. Key features make it easy to find quality instructional materials with EdReports' transparent reviews. Several of the curricula and instructional materials approved by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforceare now highlighted on the platform.
Developed by INFOhio, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and EdReports, Ohio Materials Matter Reviews is Ohio's curriculum review database. The database contains reviews of English language arts, science, and math curricula from EdReports. This nonprofit agency releases comprehensive reviews of K-12 instructional materials to support districts selecting new curriculum to meet their students' needs.
Search by keyword or use the filters on the left to narrow your search to the alignment, subject, grade level, or publisher of the curricula you need.
Green, yellow, or red dots on the tiles indicated the alignment of the curriculum. Those that meet the alignments have scores from EdReports in the approved range for the reviewed criteria.
Click on the tile to get a preview of the EdReports' review. To view the complete report, click the View Full Report button at the bottom of the pop-up.
The newest filter on Ohio Materials Matter Reviews is the Ohio Approved filter. Checking this yields results that are included in the list provided by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. These ELA curricula align with the science of reading and effective literacy strategies. Ohio approved items have a black Ohio icon in the upper right corner.
Share Ohio Materials Matter results that support your students by clicking the heart in the lower left corner. Then click the black button to the left of the search box. Your favorite materials are listed. Email them using the blue share button at the top.
Note that not all the curricula and materials on the approved list has been reviewed by EdReports. Therefore, not all of those materials are available in Ohio Materials Matter reviews.
